Dear Modi Ji,
We are very much concerned about the ongoing rape culture in India. That is not "The New India" we are waiting for. As you had given a slogan "Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao" to the 130 crore Indians. Please take some concrete steps regarding rape, assault on women and others. Women of India are also a respectful citizen of India and they are eligible to vote too. As a PM of India do not make them feel that they are 2nd class of India. We as women do not want your answer, we want permanent solution from you dear PM Modi Ji. Thank you, - Razia, Boston

Dear Prime Minister,
National and international reports that indicate that violence against women is increasing in our country and that women don't feel safe in private and public spaces speak the truth. Instead of moral policing, impunity that allows violence against women as a tool employed by our security forces to assert a sense of control and so called public security- we need to see that adivasi women, women from the remotest corners of our country and every woman infact needs to feel safe and feel that she has access to constitutional rights and freedoms. Women would want an assurance from you that the state will stand by her when she asserts her rights. Sincerely hoping to hear this from you in your speeches, PR campaigns, manifestos and actions. Will we women hope to see a free, secure and peaceful country for ourselves and generations to come? - Concerned Citizen Dear Modi ji,
Please talk about what we are doing to make India safer for women. Delhi is now famous as the most unsafe city in the world for women. Everyday in the news, we see multiple incidences of rape, assault, or abduction. And we can only imagine how many of these stories go unreported. 62 years as an independent country, I think it is high time we give women equal dignity and respect as a citizen of this country. This should be the highest priority for our government. Thank you, -Sucheta, San Francisco Hello Mr. Prime Minister,
I'm writing to you out of deep concern for the safety of women of India. Women should be an equal in society and their safety should be of out most importance to the government. The government should refrain from gender based politics and make the country a safe haven for women who comprise of half the population of a country. Since you wish to make India one of the greatest countries in the world, you should pay heed to the fact that a country can never be great purely relying on its male population. If you want to make India a great country, then work on protecting the women from unfair and demonic practices such as rape, molestation, sexual abuse. The government can only protect when they are not perpetrators themselves. I hope to see in my lifetime, India being a safe country for women and highly encourage you to talk about what is it that you and your government is doing regarding that. - From San Francisco, CA Dear Mr. Modi,
As part of providing fruitful inputs for your impending Independence Day speech, we would like to suggest you talk clearly and unequivocally about the recent spate of incidents of violence against women and minorities in India. Please make sure you apprise us of what is being done in the Kathua rape and murder case and the cases of organized harassment in the shelters of Muzaffarpur and Deoria. Please tell us if you think these are isolated incidents or do you see a pattern here. We would like to hear you condemn each of these incidents and others in no uncertain terms from the Red Fort and address the concerns of us citizens who can see the involvement of the State machinery in this violence. -Citizen Dear Prime Minister,
You talk about a lot of things in Mann ki Baat every week, and once a year from the ramparts of the Red Fort. What I don't hear is a clear voice on the atrocities against women and even young girls across the country. I don't hear any remorse or anger from you when your party men take out processions in support of leaders accused of rape of a young girl. We want you to not only say just some obvious words of support for the victims but also say what your government and party are doing to make a better atmosphere for women and girls across India. - Kiran, Hyderabad Dear Prime Minister,
Being a Mother of a girl child, I feel terrified about the safety of girl children now in our society. I want to give her a safe environment to study, play and become a responsible person when she grows up. Please address the growing violence and abuse of children Thank you. Hello Modi jee,
We women are deeply troubled by the drastic increase of brutal rape cases in India. It clearly reflects upon the deep seated patriarchal mindset of our society that creates gender inequality in sphere of life including our culture, education and upbringing. Why are women the victim of any form of political hatred and revenge. What is the present political party doing to curb such heinous rape crimes against Asifa, Nirbhaya and other daughters of India? Kindly address these issues with great concern for the India Independence day speech. -Jyoti Sinha Dear Mr. Modi,
Here are my suggestions for your 15th August speech, as per your request. I have been increasingly concerned at the growing insecurity that women are facing in India lately. One after the other, horrific and gruesome rapes are coming to light. I want you to talk about what the present government is doing to let women live without fear.
